2015 Season is done

We are almost home.  This autumn’s trip lasted 7 weeks and took us 2,400 miles.

Fall 2015 trip

I ran some numbers last night to compare this fall’s trip to last fall’s trip. Both trips were about the same length of time, 7 weeks.  We certainly covered more miles in the Fall of 2014, considering we went out to the Rockies.  But we spent more money on campgrounds on this trip.  Campgrounds that can fit our RV are harder to find in the east.  In addition, a lot of them are closed already.  Plus, they cost more!

We have finally learned to slow down.  It’s OK to spend a week at one place, especially if that place is a gorgeous RV resort.

We will be home this evening.  Now comes the task of clearing food and clothing out of the RV and getting it ready for winter storage.  We have list start already of what needs to go back into the RV when we leave in February for the next trip.  I’ve also started my grocery list for when we head out again!

It’s been fun, but it’s time to sit still for a few months.
